From Gavin:

Welcome Prospective Members!

Alpha Kappa Psi, Alpha Mu chapter is the premier business fraternity at the Wisconsin School of Business and home to more than 150 driven, intelligent, and genuinely supportive individuals. Every member brings something different to the table—whether that’s their major, background, or personal story—and that mix of perspectives is what makes our brotherhood so strong. Our members come from a wide range of disciplines, including business, engineering, computer science, economics, education, and many more, all united by a shared interest in business and professional growth.

For many of us, the journey starts with the pledge semester. As the Membership Team—myself and three dedicated pledge trainers—our goal is to help every new member move closer to whatever they’re aiming for, whether that’s landing an internship, finding a career path, or building confidence in and out of the classroom.

Throughout the semester, we guide the pledge class through a curriculum designed to build a real foundation for their careers. We’ll work on resumes, cover letters, interviews, networking, and other technical or industry-specific skills, while also making sure pledges understand how to use AKPsi’s network and resources to their advantage.

Just as importantly, we care about making sure every new member feels like they truly belong here. Badger AKPsi hosts hundreds of events throughout the year—brotherhood, professional, community service, DEI, and fundraising—that create chances to connect with people beyond your immediate circle. These experiences are where friendships are built, mentorships start, and the meaning of brotherhood really shows up.

Badger AKPsi is filled with some of the most talented and hardworking students at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, but what stands out most is how invested everyone is in each other’s success. This organization has been one of the most meaningful parts of my college experience, and I’m grateful every day for the people and opportunities it’s given me.

If you’re interested in our recruitment process or have any questions about what being part of AKPsi is really like, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
